Hi,
I just wanted to find out if anybody received email feedback from USCIS once they opened SR with USCIS? Do they even provide any feedback on SR???
I created the SR to check the status of my AP on Jan 8th and have bot heard anything back yet.

I did open SR for my wife's AP a week back. USCIS emailed us asking for us to fax documentation in support for request for expedited processing of AP. We did that. Called up USCIS again on Friday and they said they are still working on (although it seems SRs are to be decided on within 5 days. Thats why customer service folks told us).

It's hard to believe that folks dont know anything about the Green-Card process when they come in. Let us say that you are right on, but they would have eventually figured it out by the end of couple years. I believe it is the situations like layoffs, move from one company to other for better prospects and salary will make them to enter the process late. It is their personal choice and I don't question that. But I believe they had options to apply for GC early in the process and they did not. So why penalize others who did before them. Please don't think Iam saying this because I entered late. I came during early 1998 and I did wait for 4 years to apply.
It is not about being lethargic, it is about company policies and options available to employees.Many times the Labour applications are delayed by the companies on the pretext of impending layoffs or on the fact that there was no written offer on processing GC at the time of employment offer.IN many cases this happens inspite of verbal assurances at the time of employement offer. 3. The ride may be free but it has cost us $2200 per bus so any contribution to IV is appreciated.
Please don’t consider $100 is a small amount. In this double round of 21 shots we are going to cover almost the cost of this bus trip. Please consider pulling the trigger. We still need 3 sponsors to motive the two members who will contribute for the first time.

ICICI is best if you have short term trip and wants to finish paper work quick. Even you can do it while sitting here , Only thing you need to send a Power of attorney from here through Embassy.
If you have long term trip and somebody known within SBI/LIC. Then their terms and conditions are too good. No Pre-payment Penalty.
There are less paper work involved if you buy it from Builder or First sale. You should be careful while buying second sale or most of the people ask Black money first , even before starting the bank paper work.

Here in NJ(at least in Somerville), they ask for H1B approval notice. No need to have the visa stamped on passport.

Folks - there is going to be some changes in the strategy here. I have discussed this issue with IV core and we will update the new strategy soon, until then you may continue to send the letters.

Just kidding.. You are perfectly right.. Thats the right word and I have said the same even in my first post here. I would request again somebody from IV admin group to take the lead and gather all EB3 to one forum to make a difference. I see atleast 4-5 threads here with same topic.
I would suggest the campaign can have "Visa number recapture, immediate greencard for anyone more than 5 years legally in the US, make all cases current, but apply the quotas at H1 or F1 levels and no limits at GC level. I have many ideas,. but we all must come together and ask just a couple of things or one (recapture) and fight for it. We can do other things too, but a flower campaign will not hurt. IN the worst case it will not make any effect.
We can always send cards which is much easier than flower..
Please come up with something and we can make some progress. Assuming OCt bulletin is coming out on Sep 10th, we have just 26 days to make any difference. That too it must reach them way in advance to effect any change. Lets set a deadline of Aug 25th and do it..

I am not sure if USCIS will move beyond April 2004 until Jan 2009 due to the holidays and election and as someone said they want to take it easy. Even if they move the dates it does'nt help unless they approve cases with certain process in place.

Its shocking!!! They've foolishly approved many 2006 cases and dont tell me it was unpredictable and now ppl with 2003 r still waiting....how logical is this? A bunch of A** H**** working there or what?
I understand your frustration. Since there is no spillover in the first quarter of new fiscal year, it was expected that PD would move back. How can you you expect 2006 PD for Oct when there is no spillover visa numbers.
Next year Jul-Sep 2009, PD should move to mid 2006 again.

Any comments on this dual intent option and how it will effect current 485/140 ? As this supposed to effect cases of 140 filed after 15 may 07 ? Or where does it state in bill the same? If thats the case then there is no point of employment based immi at all

Hey make sure that I am right by talking to an attorney. They usually charge $150 for for this suggestion. Please spend that money. If you do not have that money, I will give you a loan. Pay me back once you start working.
