If you have made a contribution and posted on this thread or on the thread we had before your name should be on the list. We do not have an automatic way of updating this list once someone had made a contribution through paypal at this time. Every night I go through this thread, update numbers and names. I could have made a manual error and missed some names but once people have brought that to my attention I have been double checking and responding back to them. I know I am behind on verifying one or two contributions but I will catch up. I work long hours,take classes and I live 80 miles away from where I work. I wish I had more than 24 hours in my day. If you could help us with maintaining an accurate list that would be awesome.

Anyone having experience renewing DL in Ohio after filing for I-485? Do they issue DL for 4 yrs? Or do we need to apply for EAD (if H1B is expiring and company is not willing to apply for H1 extension) and DL will be issued till the expiry of EAD?

I am hoping they just dont tie EB2 I and Eb2 C at 15th Feb 2005 in April 2009.
Previously we have seen bulletins where Eb2 I and Eb2 C have tied up at 1Apr2004.
I dont know how many iterations it will take before it reaches the RIR/PERM boundary(1 Apr 2005)

Yes its a very serious issue. As chandu mentioned earlier more action items are coming soon to fight this. But in the meantime please show your support and your willingness to fight this - if you havnt sent the mail yet, please do it and vote in the poll above. We have many people who are pretty knowledgeable on matters related to AC21 (like chaduv) who might be able to answer them. If it is something about this campaign and have questions - please shoot, will try to explain why we are considering it is a serious one and can affect anyone.
Everything related to EB immigration is grim for last couple years - the only two things that made some positive impact on us are July 07 fiasco and admin reforms. IV made great efforts to achieve them against all odds (just like RedSox win yesterday :)) - those two combined with AC21 regulations provided many of us the flexibility and career advancement that we missed because of this cesspool called GC. Now that flexibility is at stake. What is the use of AC21 regulations and EAD if we are not certain about whether our I485 will not be denied later.
Some have pointed out that this will not affect them or that their previous employer will not revoke I140. First of all - never assume your I140 will not be revoked - it can happen in many circumstances even if you had good relations with employer. And even if you are not planning to use AC21 right now, think about this: we are all in this together to make EB immigration better. When things are tough to make any change (legislatively or administratively) - we cannot afford to lose one of the very few positive things that happened to us. IV core fought for us - spending their time and even money - lets take some inspiration from their acts, and show them that we volunteers are serious when we say that we want to contribute to IV and make a difference to EB laws or USCIS functioning.

I was hoping against all odds that this was not going to be true when they announced it last month. The iron is that I have been current for the last 2 months now. But when one thing reaches the goal, the other slows down. The damn TSC is was processing June applications while mine is early August. I am hoping that they allocated my file so that when they reach August date, visa would be available for me.
I have EAD and AP and alos have h1 until 2010. in 2010, I would have completed 11 years on H1b visa. My company maybe doing layoffs in the next few months, and I was hoping to get my GC by then. I dont wish to to use EAD because I have a DWI and its safe to stay on H1 for that.
how are the oppourtunities out there for Quality Aussrance/ Analysts.

Yes, Can open an LLc or Inc even on H1. Make sure you look at tax laws in your state. A non operating entity also has to pay about $750/yr in Taxes (Varies from state to state) plus file annual reports etc all costing more $$$.
So think it through before incorporating.

I don't see what is really different. I am not talking about July 2007. I am talking about May or June bulletin 2007. Do you mean the bulletin on May or June 2007 is to utilize the visa so the dates are not the "real" date? Then how do you know Aug. 2008 move is not for the same purpose? Especially if this movement is caused by spillover.
There is chance that CIS and/or DOS know the breakdown of categories by country now as against last year. That is being a bit on the optimistic side.
