Hi,
My employer filed for I-140 and I-485 last year July. My I-140 got approved with a labor converted from RIR.
I want to know the priority date in the approved I-140. But the employer is not giving me copy of I-140. I called USCIS and they say they cannot give the information to be.
How do i get my priority date now?
I have I-140 and I-485 receipt numbers.
Can you find it thru I-485 receipt number?

Hi All,
I have H1B stamped from company A which is valid untill Oct 2008. I am planning to go to India in Jan on my new transferred H1B from company B.
Do I have to take an appointment in India for getting my new H1 stamped? Or can i just show my new approved H1B from company B on my port of entry in US, when I come back?

Hi Folks,
I would like to know if there is any issue to enter the USA using the Parole document if I never had the H1B visa stamped on my passport.

The storyline continues. Last year, 13,500 regular H-1B applications were counted in the first week and 5,600 advanced degree applications. This year 5,900 regular applications were received in the first week and 4,500 advanced degree petitions. USCIS just reported that in the second week of counting, 7,100 regular cases were receipted and 5,100 advanced degree applications. Hey afterhourz,
Select all the cubes and go to Modify | Group. It should group the cubes as one object. Now, when you animate them, the whole group of cubes will animate in sync with the rest.

Hi Gurus,
There was a minor RFE on my wife's I-485 (incomplete form I-1485 - a tick mark was missing) on 18 June. Our lawyer received the RFE and forwarded to us (I am not sure if we also are supposed to receive a copy of the RFE directly from USCIS but we did not). We replied to it and the lawyer sent it to USCIS this week such that it would have been received by USCIS on 1 Jul 09(Wed). I was expecting to see a status change to something like "Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed". However, the case status changed to "Document mailed to applicant".
I am puzzled with this. Does anyone have a similar experience? Any guess what it might be?
Just getting anxious.

I posted this message earlier in some other thread. Actually my questions were irrelevant to the thread I added the message on. Hence, creating a new thread.
I have couple of questions regarding GC filing for future employment.
a. Is it legal to work for company B if one is working for company A and company A has already filed LC?
b. Any danger of getting audit because of multiple LCs?

Hi
I want to transfer my H1-b from a consultant company to a non-profilt organization which is offering me a full time job. I haven't resigned my job at consultant company yet. The LCA process is going on with new non-profilt organisation and then they are going to apply for H-1B petition soon. I am worried if the consultant company will cancel my visa as soon as I resign and that would cause issues for the H-1b transfer. Please advice when is it safe time to resign and start my new job.

I have B1 visa and and right now I am in US on client support.
I want to get into a College for further studies for which I am unaware of the legal formalities to be completed.
I already have a letter of internship with a US company and the college is giving me a letter for change of status i-20.
As far as the immigration goes for change of status of visa, it says that I need to go out of the country and then come back, with stamped as 'intent to study'. So is it really required?
However still it is confusing for me as to what other formalities are to be completed regarding the same.

It talks a lot about illegal immigrants. Though there is a myth about H1B program, there is nothing mentioned about LEGAL immigration backlog.

We have our 485 interview's next week @ the Baltimore Field Office. My PD is current for EB-2. My case is pretty straightforward so hopefully should not be a issue.
Would appreciate any comments from folks in MD who have been interviewed @ the Fallon Federal Building in downtown.
Particularly - can they approve our cases right there & then.? Will they stamp our passports for approval since PD is current for January 2011.? Can there be any issued with visa number not available, etc. ?
Any advice is appreciated.
