yes, you can add her anytime before the approval of your I485 (3rd stage of the GC process). You havent mentioned EB1/2/3 but if its EB2 or EB3, stage 3 is several years away for you, and you can always add her before you apply for the final stage. Good luck!

Hi All,

I sent h1b extension application to california center on june 22nd and my application is still not approved. My current visa was valid until July 30th. I need to travel to India on Dec 10th due to urgent reasons . Please suggest what should I do

1. Can I travel while my extension is pending?
2. Can I raise a service request to speed up the processing?
2. or Upgrading to PP is the only option?

I do have EAD and advance parole through my husband's GC application. If I use parole for travel what happens to my H1b visa and GC application filed through my employer. My visa will still be valid or not?

Please help...

My spouse is on H4 currently. Have applied for H1 in April 2007 and got the H1 aproved. So the new H1 starts on Oct 2007. However, we applied for 485 and got our EAD's (No recept number, No finger printing etc).

Can my spouse use EAD to start job? we dont want use that new H1 currently. What are the implications if we use EAD? Will the H1 (and my H1) be effected?

Using EAD will invalidate H1/H4 status...
You may file for H1 transfer later to revive your H1 status if needed...

I made address changes to pending EAD renewal and I-485 yesterday in the afternoon for myself and spouse. Same day later in the evening I got email saying CPO for EAD renewal. This is a story of 8/20/2008.

I tried called 800 number and was told that they can't verify that address was successfully changed on the application.THey don't have access to personal information. They are asking me to take Inforpass to verify the address.

There is no LUD on either I-485 or EAD renewal after address change. Is LUD an indication that address change has been done? There are no infopass available for 2 months ( I will keep checking if somebody cancels )

Does anybody has any pointer as to how I can verify address change without infopass

Thanks - I took this walking along a railroad bed that is no longer in use. I must have chased 10 of these things around before I finally got this one that would hold still long enough to get a descent shot.
