I am working for my current company since 2001 and started GC process in 2003(EB3 10/2003). So far my company paid all expenses towards my GC. I applied for 485 in 8/07.
Recently I got an offer as Manager. This is a much better position.
If I take that offer, will my current employer have the right to cancel I-140(since he incurred all the expenses towards my GC).
My company's current lawyer will definitely send the cancellation of G-28. in addition I am sure he will also intimate that I am not working with my current employer anymore. In addition I am also afraid he might cancel my I-140 with the intimation from my current employer. In this case, is it better for me to approach a new lawyer and send the AC21 letter attaching my new offer before my current lawyer/employer does their process.
Do i need any other letter from my new employer other than the Offer Letter to send the AC21 letter?
I did not tell my new employer that I am now on EAD (becoz he does not understand anything except GC or Citizenship). is it OK if I dont tell beofre I join them?

Keeping in view the current and anticipated situation in Oct 2007, would priority date transfer help me at all or I will have to face same processing times?
My assumption is that visa numbers will be unavailable from Aug 17th to Oct '07 and when the new visa number become available, the dates will retrogress to 2003 or 2004 ... who knows. So using old PD may earn me advantage in that case.

Labor category has little to do with AC21. Your responsibilties should be 'similar', which is kind of a vague term, which means USCIS would generally not mess with anything that has enough of the same words used in description.

Below is my situation;
Last project ended July 17 and am out of project since then and my last pay check was for the week of July 17. I was sent a termination letter and my employer said that he will not revoke my H1B and told me to transfer my H1B ASAP. I have been trying to do a H transfer from then on but no company is willing to do since I don't have a project and every one told to find a project first.
Finally I found a project but now employers are not willing to do a transfer saying that I don't have pay stubs for almost two and half months. A few employers are suggesting to file a new H1B.
What would be the best course of actions in my situation.

The law requires that you report any and all change of address change within 10 days of the change.
You can choose to use the online tool and complete an electronic Form AR-11 and notify USCIS to update your address on most pending cases. However, if you choose to do it by paper, then AR-11 will not update your address on any applications or petitions pending with USCIS.

As expected this happened, but it happened sooner than expected.
This expected sooner because CIR was voted out in Senate and this was not thought about by this goverment.
Basically this was a close door arrangement between govt agencies which temporarily wanted to lower the friction by IV AND SIMILAR GROUPS.
BUT finally I believe this will come to a rest once we have new government next year.
Till that we are a tennis ball which can be tossed to any court.
PS: I dont even have I-140 and not even applied for one.
So best of luck to all and me.

only for 2 months. You should ask a friend to monitor your mail. Sometimes USCIS just sends FP requests out of the blue. At least you will be able to call and reschedule the FP.

I got an email from USCIS saying my I-485 case is now transferred to National Benefits Centre and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office.
I am travelling to India currently and plan to re-enter on AP.
I wanted to know if
1. anyone has any ideas as to what this really means, anyone received similar email, experiences?
My priority date is not current so are they pre-adjudicating my case or planning to send a RFE??
2. Should I take any specific steps while re-entering on AP?
