Hi ita,
The project and the CMs speech indictaed that Hydereabad will be a major city in 3-4 decades not just in India but the entire world. Its upto you, how you want to interpret that message from CM.
In the short term (few months probably), prices may catch up because of the hype that this is generating.
I am not in a position to give any suggestion on land price movements in India and especially Hyderabad is highly volatile.
If i were you, i would definitely wait untill the elections.

I spoke with my attorney today regarding filing a new PERM labor and I-140 under EB2 with the same employer. My EB3 labor was filed for Software Engineer position and now my role is a senior role as a Principal Software Engineer. My job duties have changed but not by 50%. My attorney says in order to successfully apply for EB2 labor and I-140 with the same employer, the job should be 50% different from the EB3 Job description.
I don't know how to convince my attorney. Can somebody tell me if I have a valid case for EB2.
I have an MCA from India and 4 years of experience before I joined my current employer. Now I have 12+ years of experience. My current job as a Principal Software Engineer requires a Bachelors + 7 years or Master's + 2 years of experience. I have a Masters with 4 years before I joined my current employer. Update. My attorney has sent a letter (interfiling process) to USCIS mentioning that my case is current now. One of my friends got 485 approved within 2 weeks after initiating interfiling process. I hope it would be the same case with me.

Try your best to find a job. The market is picking up. At least try to join one of those desi companies even if they are offering a low salary. Just get past this time without making your situation a whole lot more complex.
Dont worry about lawyers, your ex employer revoking I140 - all that stuff doesn't matter now - just go find a job.

filed LC in 2003 thinking it would be useful to stay on H1 as long as possible!! and the rest is on my profile..
I wonder if anybody thinks it makes sense to create a law which simply says after 15 (or some X years) of legal presence in the US you will be given a GC no matter the back ground! In that way we know exactly where the deadline is irrespective of some government agency's whim.
to make it more arbitrable, how about if one completes the 40 tax credits and is clean of criminal records.

Its only Green card and I am not sure why people get upset big deal. Nobody asked us to move here. And if there is a system in place we cannot be saying its bad and this and that. My PD is DEC 04 do I feel bad someone in 2006 gets it. YES. Is the system crappy yes. I have a MS in US. So all this hoopla about US ms are getting it and not us is wrong. The other question is should I be getting it over others who dont have a MS from US. I believe yes we should.

Following a one time contribution I signed up for $20 re-occurring (Jan 2007). I have discontinued that to go to $50 now! I think if anyone wants to THANK and appreciate the work all IV volunteers did, they should be do so by paying. No thank you cards no flowers....just reoccurring contribution!

I congratulate everyone whoes PD becomes current beginning of next month. But be aware that all of this is no good until USCIS acts on it. USCIS has to match and increase their pace of processing I-140 & I-485s for people to benefit of this movement. There are thousands of people whose PD have been current since April of this year and still they see no movement on their cases. PD becoming current is just the first & crucial step in this long process, but now it all depends on how well USCIS responds by processing cases in FIFO manner.

she is not stupid!! she is right. Your GC and H1 is being sponsored by the employer not by you. All documents etc are indeed the property of the employer. It is the employer's responsibility to keep you updated of any changes in your status.

I have no Idea what's wrong in requesting USCIS to release some data which would tell how many applications they received of which chargeability and in which EB categories� This is the only information needed to stop predicting, everybody here can make almost exact estimate when they can expect their application Adjudicated. And also in the mean time they should provide us assurance that they will issue EADs and APs in less than 90 days. We are in a foreign country and we need to travel to our home countries, if we are stuck with 1 year approvals our file is always in process, how do you plan a trip ???
Death in the family is the only reason they recognize as urgency for travel.
We are Humans, we have family back in our home countries, marriage in the family or family visit is also urgent..
To ask this you don�t need citizen rights you are asking a public agency a service which they are supposed to provide and they are charging us to do that...

I don't know if anybody has noticed it but the dates for EB-2 for VB October 2007 was April 1, 2004 and for VB October 2008 is April 1, 2003. That is a retrogression of 1 year - not good. :mad:
You see in the real world everything moved 1 year ahead from October 2007 to October 2008. So in USCIS world also it moved by 1year.

I think life inside home is better in India than US. And life outside home is better in US than India. What do you think?
I am only son to my parents (aged 50s). I must go back whenever India sends a man or women to Moon. Just kidding.. Will go back by 201X.
Currently I am in India on a vacation of 45 days. I came to India with lot of enthu after a long gap of 2 years. But as someone said, India cannot be compared with US, outside home. And yea, USA can't be compared to India, inside home :D
I have to postpone the idea of returning for few more years for the following reasons, and yes, I want GC meanwhile.
_ Reasons to stay and stay longer in USA _
1) It's money, honey :D
2) A nice Indenpendant House in Vizag or Hyd. I am long way to get there. You know what I mean.
3) I haven't earned enough to copy & paste my lifestyle in US yet. I mean no car for my dad, no plasma tv in India, no 'retirement' fund for my parents so that they can live on their own. You know the rest.
4) My wife has just _resumed her career on H1B after being seated at home for 3 years on H4. As you can guess, we left hopes on EAD. My PD Nov 05. I would prefer that she work in USA for couple of years, before which we can return.
4) Last, but not least, I want to gather more "onsite" experience and go from programmer analyst to something I want to be, when I return to India.
_ Reasons to go back to India _
I belived in the philosiphy of helping yourself first, then family and then society.
0) Will come back to India to live with my aging parents.
1) Help my society (vote, pay taxes, charity, transfer of ideas from Western World, creation of employment and much more)
2) Enjoy food, movies, language, various cultures of India.
3) Travel world and not just USA - through my IT career.

My wife's DL expired in June 2007. We got her extension in April 2007 for next 3 years. FYI: It took only 40 days to get the approval. Applied in PP.
We noticed the incorrect DOB in her approval notice. Attorney contacted CIS about this. We got a letter from CIS asking us to wait for 30 days to review her case. It is 90+ days since we reported CIS's typographical error. They took 40 days to approve the extension but they are taking more than 90 days to correct the DOB and issue a copy. Congrats CIS!.
Because of CIS's typographical error, we are facing hell of problems. She couldn't renew her DL. We went to DL office. We were asked to file a complaint. That takes ANOTHER 10 to 12 months to get the feedback from DL office.
I don't know what to do other than just WAIT!.

What spillover for EB3 you are talking about? Based on how they interpreted the spillover law last year, EB3-I can't get any spillover until EB2-I and EB3-ROW is current and thats decade away.
I am just trying to get the facts. I am not against EB3-I as I myself is EB3-I and waiting for my turn since last 7 years.

I Agree with you, EB3 I will never ever be current unless there is a resolution or releaf passed by Mr Change (Obama) or his lobby, there is no light beyond this tunnel until we see some releaf which does not look getting this year atleast and may be another couple of years.
Predictions are good to just hear and watch and here predictions are like lovely dreams which will never come true unless untill any big chnage is taken place, and the only person who i have hope with to do something for EB3 I is President Obama.
But he is kind of busy with other important issues and our issue is not that important for him reason may be we are not his vote bank and will get to the curve of getting the GC when we are very close to our graves.
This is really furstating and freinds sorry to express my frustration here on this forum but i am done and just look at my PD Dec 2001 for the past 1 year i hear from my lawyer you are just the next badge and should be current in the next bulletin.
I think we should live everything aside and just do our best at work thats what i am doing and thank god for getting our bread and butter in this economy.
